Remove SAS Control Module: Notes
WARNING:
- Handling the SAS control module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bags and the pre-tensioner seat belts, which may seriously injure you. Always refer to the AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS and AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS before handling the SAS control module.
- If the connector is connected and the main power is switched ON (READY on or off) with the SAS control module not secured completely using the nuts, the SAS control module may detect a degree of impact even when something contacts it lightly, deploying the air bag module and pre-tensioner seat belts accidentally. Do not connect the connector and switch the main power ON (READY on or off) with the SAS control module not fully secured by the nuts.
CAUTION:
- When replacing the SAS control module, perform the configuration to assure that the system operates correctly.
- Remove using the procedure shown in the figure below.
