Solenoid Relay Circuit

  1. Remove ABS control relay. See Figure. Using DVOM, ensure continuity is present between relay terminals No. 1 and 9. See Fig 1. Ensure continuity is not present between relay terminals No. 2 and 5. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
  2. Using DVOM, connect positive test lead to relay terminal No. 4, and negative test lead to relay terminal No. 5. See Fig 1. Continuity should be present. Reverse test leads. Continuity should not be present. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
  3. Using fused jumper wires, connect positive battery terminal to relay terminal No. 1, and ground relay terminal No. 9. See Fig 1. Ensure continuity is present between relay terminals No. 2 and 5, and continuity is not present between relay terminals No. 2 and 6. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
