OUTBACK model

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the pad rear side. Refer to SEATS>Rear Seat>REMOVAL 
  3. Remove the trim panel assembly apron. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Rear Quarter Trim>REMOVAL>OUTBACK model .
  4. Remove the lever assembly rear backrest.
    1. Remove the screw and remove the hook apron.
    2. Disconnect the lever assembly rear backrest cable.
    3. Remove the screw and remove the lever assembly rear backrest.

    4. Insert your hand through felt from the arrow direction (c).
      NOTE: Be careful not to remove the felt welded section (b).
    5. Press the lock part (e) of the cable clamp (a) to release the lock.
    6. Remove the lever assembly rear backrest cable in the arrow direction (d).
