Inspection Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

- Disconnect the transmission control switch connector of shift lever assy.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition 4 - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK : Go to next step.
- INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SPECIFIED CONDITIONSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition Press continuously transmission control switch 2 - 4 Below 1 Ω Release transmission control switch 10 kΩ or higher
- NG : REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
- OK : Go to next step.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - ECM)

- Connect the transmission control switch connector of shift lever assy.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SPECIFIED CONDITIONSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition Press continuously transmission control switch E5 - 29 (ODMS) - Body ground Below 1 Ω Release transmission control switch 10 kΩ or higher
- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
