Control Valve Body Assembly Installation

Rotate the transmission assembly so that the I.D. tag is facing up.
Install 2 new case fluid passage seals (86) into the transmission case fluid ports.

Important: Shift the transmission into Neutral (N).
While holding the control valve body assembly (39), connect the manual valve link (336) to the manual shift detent lever assembly (710).

Install the 6 control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws and hand tighten.
- 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 16 mm (34)
- 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 28 mm (35)
- 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 55 mm (47)

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Tighten the control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws in sequence.
Tighten

Tighten the control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws to 7.8-11.8 N.m (69.0-104.5 lb in).

Install a new control valve body fluid passage cover gasket (38).
Install the control valve body fluid passage cover (37).
Install the 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 50 mm control valve body bolts/screws (31).
Tighten

Tighten the control valve body bolts/screws to 7.8-11.8 N.m (69.0-104.5 lb in).
