Frame Insulators Description

Incorrect installation of the frame insulator may cause the following conditions:

* Popping noises
* Structure shaking
* Road noise
* Squeaks
* Snapping noises

The conditions may sometimes be caused by the following 2 mistakes:

* The wrong part is installed.
* The insulator is not properly tightened.

An improperly located insulator rubbing on the frame rail may cause squeaks.

If a problem is diagnosed as an insulator problem, perform the one or both of the following tests:

* A color code test, in order to determine the correct use
* A body bolt torque test

If the wrong insulator is used, replace the insulator with the correct component.
