Remote Keyless Entry System
The remote keyless entry system consists of a lock control module (located behind center console), 5 button keypad, keyless entry beeper, diode strip, circuit breaker, power door lock actuators, courtesy light switches, remote transmitter and necessary wiring. The control module performs the following functions:
- Locks and unlocks all doors.
- Turns on interior, key hole and keypad lights.
- Activates battery saver, which removes power from courtesy lights 30 minutes and luggage compartment lights 60 minutes after last input to control module.
- Programs personal entry code.
The remote keyless entry system receives inputs from the following:
- Ignition Switch
- Door Lock/Unlock Switches
- Door Ajar Switches
- Keypad
Control module sends outputs to the following:
- Keypad Lights
- Door Lock Actuators
- Liftgate Release Actuator
- Keyless Entry Beeper
To unlock driver's door using keypad, enter owner's personal entry code. To unlock passenger's door, press 3/4 button within 5 seconds of unlocking driver's door. To unlock liftgate, press 5/6 button within 5 seconds of unlocking driver's or passenger's door.
