Procedure Not Using M-MDS
- Empty the vehicle except for the jack and vehicle tools.
- Adjust the tire pressure to the standard. (See WHEEL AND TIRE SPECIFICATION )
- Move the vehicle to level ground.
- Switch the main power ON (READY off or on).NOTE:
- The LED headlight warning light continues flashing during the first initial setting, however, continue the work because it does not indicate an improper procedure.

Symbol Content 1 DLC-2 2 0.5-1.5 s 3 Connection 4 Not connected CAUTION:- If the terminals are mistakenly connected, vehicle damage or fire could occur. When connecting with the jumper wire, thoroughly verify what terminals are being connected to prevent a miss-connection.
- Verify the LED headlight warning light.
- The initial setting is completed if the LED headlight warning light flashes 3 times every 0.25 s and turns off as shown in the figure. Go to the next step.
SYMBOL AND CONTENT DESCRIPTIONSymbol Content 1 0.25 s 2 ON 3 OFF - If the LED headlight warning light flashes at 0.25 s intervals, the procedure may have been performed incorrectly. Repeat the procedure from Step 4.
- If the LED headlight warning light turns on, the headlight auto leveling system may have a malfunction. Perform DTC inspection. (Refer to [DTC INSPECTION
] in the appropriate troubleshooting information
).
- Repair or replace the malfunctioning location, then repeat the procedure from Step 4.
- Perform the headlight aiming adjustment. (See HEADLIGHT AIMING )
