Using the Engine Signal Monitor




1. Connect the Special Service Tools (Engine Signal Monitor) to the PCM.
2. Verify that the throttle valve is at the closed throttle position.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Measure the voltage at PCM terminal 3F.




5. If not as specified, inspect the throttle position sensor harness.
6. If the harness is OK, replace the throttle position sensor.
