Test No. 3

  1. Remove door trim panels. Turn the ignition on. Measure the voltage at the indicated wire terminals of the main switch connector with the main switches in the specified position. See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST  under TEST NO. 1. If battery voltage exists at all terminals, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at all terminals, check main switch. See MAIN SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  2. Measure voltage at indicated wire terminals of sub-switch connectors with main switches in specified position. See POWER WINDOW SUB-SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST  under TEST NO. 1. If battery voltage exists at all terminals, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at all terminals, repair wiring between main switch and sub-switch.
  3. Measure voltage at indicated wire terminals of window motor connectors with main switches in specified position. See the PASSENGER'S/REAR WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT TEST  . If battery voltage exists at all terminals, check window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If battery voltage does not exist at all terminals, repair wiring between main switch and window motor (driver's window), or between sub-switch and window motor (except driver's window).
