EGR Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect vacuum hose between three-way solenoid valve and vacuum pipe at vacuum pipe.
2. Disconnect other vacuum hose at three-way solenoid valve.
3. Blow air into hose still attached to three-way solenoid valve and ensure air flows from open port
4. Disconnect electrical connector of valve and apply battery voltage to connector.
5. Blow air into hose still attached to three-way solenoid valve and ensure air flows from air filter of valve.
6. Connect hoses and electrical connector to proper locations.
7. If test results are unsatisfactory, replace three-way solenoid valve.
