- Installed on the fuel tank, the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) controls the pump motor mounted inside the low pressure fuel pump.
- The actual pressure measured by the pressure sensor and the target pressure are compared to control the voltage applied to the fuel pump in real time.
- When fuel pump/controller/pressure sensor/system are diagnosed as faults, the information is transmitted to Engine Control Module (ECM).
- If there is fault diagnosis, the fuel pump will be activated forcibly by the mode that has been set.
