Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the front wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "WHEEL ")

  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  3. Disconnect the R-MDPS motor connector (A), ECU connector (B) and wiring (C).

  4. Separate the stabilizer link (A) from the front strut assembly.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE: Using a hex wrench, fix the end of stabilizer link when loosening the nut.

  5. Remove the stabilizer bar (A) from the sub frame.

    Tightening torque: 

    49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the stabilizer bar links (A) from the stabilizer bar.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE: Using a hex wrench, fix the end of stabilizer link when loosening the nut.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Check the front alignment.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "FRONT ALIGNMENT ")
