Shift Interlock Switch: Testing and Inspection

EMERGENCY OVERRIDE BUTTON

WARNING: Service with engine OFF.

1. Verify that the selector lever is locked in P range.
2. Remove cap covering emergency access hole and insert a screwdriver into access hole, then push screwdriver.
3. Depress lock release button and move shift lever.
4. If not as specified, inspect and repair as necessary, refer to Quick diagnosis chart.
