Mechanical Instrument Cluster Message Not Received At Body Control Module

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, enter BODY and ELECTRO/MECH CLUSTER. If scan tool communicates with MIC, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with MIC, go to MECHANICAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED AT BODY CONTROL MODULE  . Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition on and wait approximately one minute. Read DTCs. If DTC reset, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If DTC does not reset, test is complete.
