Diagnostic Procedure 4

  1. Unplug 8-pin connector from control unit. See Figure . Control unit is located in trunk, on left side. Check for continuity between connector terminal No. 3 and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair wiring between specified terminals and ground.
  2. Connect jumper wire between connector terminal No. 2 and ground. If trunk opener operates, replace control unit. If trunk opener does not operate, repair trunk opener circuit. See DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK RELEASE - POWER article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
