Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
To supply vehicle speed to the engine control module. The vehicle speed sensor is a reed switch. The speed sensor is built into the speedometer and converts the transaxle gear revolutions into pulse signals, which are sent to the engine control module.
