Oil Pressure Indicator Light

  1. Check if other gauges and indicator lights are inoperative. If these are also inoperative, check appropriate fuse in fuse panel. See GAUGES FUSE IDENTIFICATION table. Disconnect engine harness connector from oil pressure switch on engine. See OIL PRESSURE SWITCH/SENDING UNIT LOCATION table.
  2. Using jumper wire, ground harness connector terminal. Turn ignition on. Instrument cluster oil indicator light should be on. If indicator light is not on, check light bulb in instrument cluster, or check for open in circuit from cluster to switch. If light is on, replace defective oil pressure switch.
