Front Bumper: Service and Repair

Front Bumper Replacement





1. Remove the front grille guard, if equipped. Refer to Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (Base) (Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (Base))Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (WS2, V3M) (Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (WS2, V3M)) .




2. Remove the 2 lower bolts from the bumper bar.




3. Remove the 2 plugs (1) from the front fascia (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector to the daytime running lamps (DRL).




5. Remove the 2 upper bolts from the bumper bar.
6. Remove the front bumper assembly from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the front bumper assembly to the vehicle.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the 2 upper bolts to the bumper bar.

Tighten the bolts to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the DRL.




4. Install the 2 plugs (1) to the front fascia (2).




5. Install the 2 lower bolts to the bumper bar.

Tighten the bolts to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).





6. Install the front grille guard, if equipped. Refer to Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (Base) (Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (Base))Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (WS2, V3M) (Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement (WS2, V3M)) .
