J 43094 Spark Plug Boot Puller
- Remove the ignition coil assembly bolts.CAUTION: Do not damage the ignition coil assembly perimeter seal.
- Lift the ignition coil assembly out of the camshaft cover valley.
CAUTION: Use only the spark plug boot special removal tool to remove spark plug boots. Prying or using regular pliers could damage the boots.
- Remove the spark plug boots using the J 43094.
- Remove the spark plugs.
- Inspect the spark plugs to gain an understanding of the engines operating characteristics.
- Inspect the ignition coil assembly terminals for excessive pitting or damage. Replace if necessary.
- Inspect the spark plug boots for cuts, tears or visible damage. Replace if necessary.
- If all components are acceptable, press the spark plug boots back onto the coil assembly and store in a secure location.
