Ignition Switch Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, precautions, and procedures Service and Repair before doing repair or servicing.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures.

2. Remove the left front door sill trim Service and Repair and left kick panel Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the 6P connector from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.






4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.





5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the steering lock/switch Service and Repair.

6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.
