Preliminary Procedure

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 LCV, LGX) .
Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .

Procedure

Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the thermostat housing.
Install a NEW seal if not replacing the sensor.
