Cooling Module: Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Recover the A/C system. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
- Remove the LH and the RH front fenders. Refer to: Fender .
- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .
- Remove the washer reservoir. Refer to: Windshield Washer Reservoir .

- Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector.
- Detach the hood latch release cable from the mounting bracket.
- Detach latch cable harness retainers and disconnect the hood latch release cable eyelet from the hood latch.
- Remove the chimney grills.
- Detach the wiring harness retainers and disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors.
- Remove the rear outlet duct bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

- Disconnect the electrical connectors and detach the coolant tube grommet.
- Remove the nuts, bolts and the outlet duct.
Torque: Nuts: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) Bolts: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

- Detach the coolant tube retainers.

NOTE: Tighten the fitting to the torque specified or 2 additional flats from finger tight.
Loosen and disconnect the radiator to coolant tube fitting and position aside.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Remove the condenser inlet and outlet nuts and disconnect the fittings. Discard the O-ring seals and gasket seals.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

NOTE: The coolant hoses are disconnected during cooling module removal.
Loosen the coolant hose clamps.
- Remove the nuts and the cooling module.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
