Module Programming

Replacement Front Electronic Module (FEM), Rear Electronic Module (REM), and Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module will require configuration data transfer after installation. Modules will be packaged in a kit which contains a warning label and multi-language sheet identifying requirements to configure replacement modules. New Generation Star (NGS) scan tool, or OBD-II compatible scan tool, must be used to retrieve configuration data from old module prior to removal from vehicle. This information must be transferred to new module, once installed. Scan tool will not retain stored configuration data information for longer than 24 hours.
