Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection
CLEANING and INSPECTIONWipe the ignition wires with a clean, damp cloth prior to inspection. Without removing the ignition wires from the spark plugs or ignition coil, inspect the ignition wires for visible damage such as burns, cuts, pinches, cracks or torn boots. Replace only the damaged ignition wires.
