Clutch Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driving symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

2. Disconnect harness connector from Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch.
3. Disconnect the locking tab.
4. Rotate CPP switch about 90 degrees clockwise and remove lock plate. Pry switch off clutch push rod by hand.
5. To install, reverse removal procedure.

NOTE: An audible "click" will be heard when the CPP switch is mounted properly onto the clutch push rod.
