Compression Check

AllData Editors Note - Ford does not provide a cranking pressure specification, only an acceptable range.

The compression pressure check should be performed with the engine at normal operating temperature with spark plugs removed, wide open throttle and the distributor end of the ignition coil wire grounded. Compression pressure should be 164-200 psi.
