Engine Cooling System & Automatic Transmission Cooling System: Engine: Radiator: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the radiator fan. See RADIATOR FAN .
  3. Drain the cooling system. See DRAINING COOLING SYSTEM .
  4. Remove the air cleaner inlet tubes.
  5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (4).
  6. Disconnect the lower radiator hose (7) and coolant recovery reservoir hose (5).

  7. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines and fit together with coupler (automatic transmission only). See TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES .
  8. Remove the radiator hold down clamps (1).

  9. Tilt the radiator forward and remove the A/C condenser to the radiator retaining bolts (1).

  10. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
