Engine Cooling System & Automatic Transmission Cooling System: Engine: Radiator: Installation

  1. Position the radiator in vehicle.
  2. Connect the lower radiator hose (7) and the coolant recovery reservoir hose (5).
  3. Connect the upper radiator hose (4).

  4. Install the A/C condenser to the radiator retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  5. Install the radiator retaining clamps (1).

  6. Install the radiator fan. See RADIATOR FAN .
  7. Connect the transmission cooler lines (automatic transmission only). See TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES .
  8. Install the air inlet tubes.
  9. Fill the cooling system. See REFILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
  11. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  12. Recheck the coolant level.
