Removal & Installation
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located on left side of engine compartment, near air filter housing. See Fig 1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove air cleaner box. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. Remove 2 PCM retaining bolts and one nut. Remove PCM with mounting bracket. Remove PCM from bracket.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Program PCM as necessary. See PROGRAMMING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
