NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L
article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Gain access to any inoperative courtesy lamp(s). Replace any open bulbs. If bulbs are not open, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on inoperative bulb connector Pink wire. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Pink wire to bulb. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind right kick panel. Disconnect BCM Black connector.
- Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Yellow wire between BCM Black connector terminal No. 25 and courtesy lamp bulb connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, reconnect courtesy bulbs and body control module, then retest system.
