Power Draw Test

Before beginning any test procedure, ensure battery is fully charged. Clean and tighten all electrical connections and terminals to ensure proper continuity and ground. If power seat malfunctions, test for electrical or mechanical failure. With wiring connected and dome light on, operate switches.

Watch dome light for evidence of power draw by seat motor. If dome light dimes, motor is jammed, indicating a mechanical problem. If there is no evidence of power draw, electrical problems are indicated.
