Installation Procedure

    Fuel Level Sensor (2) - Install

  2. Engage the retaining tabs.
  3. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Fuel Pump Seal (2) @ Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module - Install NEW

  5. Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module (1) @ Fuel Tank - Install

    Fuel Sender Retainer (1) @ Fuel Tank - Install

    Use the CH-45747  fuel sender lock ring wrench (2) to install the fuel sender retainer.

    Fuel Feed Pipe (3) @ Retainer (4) - Install [2x]

  8. Quick Connect Fitting (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [2x]

    With assistance, remove fuel tank from bench and place on a suitable adjustable jack.

  11. Fuel Tank (1) - Install

    Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Install [2x]

    13. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  13. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  14. Remove adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

    Evaporative Emission Pipe-Fuel Tank (2) @ Evaporative Emission Pipe-Underbody - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  16. Fuel Feed Pipe-Fuel Tank (1) @ Fuel Feed Pipe - Underbody - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Evaporative Emission Intermediate Pipe (3) @ Fuel Tank Filler Pipe - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  18. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2) @ Fuel Tank - Connect
  19. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) @ Fuel Tank Filler Hose - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Install [5x]

  21. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Rear Wheelhouse Liner - Left Side (1) - Install - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

    Evaporative Emission Canister Air Inlet Hose (1) @ Rear Wheelhouse Panel Bracket (2) - Install

    Rear Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side (1) - Install - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Exhaust System Front Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  29. Exhaust Muffler (1) - Install

    Exhaust Muffler (1) @ Exhaust Insulator-Right Side (3) - Install

  31. Exhaust Muffler (1) @ Exhaust Insulator-Left Side (2) - Install

    Exhaust Muffler (2) @ Exhaust Insulator (3) - Install

  33. Exhaust Hanger Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  35. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  36. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
  37. Refill the fuel tank.
  38. Inspect for fuel leaks.
