Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement-Intake



CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT-INTAKE

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the intake camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (2).




2. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
3. Remove the CMP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

IMPORTANT: Inspect the CMP sensor for damage. Replace as necessary.

2. Install the CMP sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the intake CMP sensor electrical connector (2).
