Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 .
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
  4. Disconnect the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
  5. Disconnect the module harness from the from the fuse block bracket.
  6. Remove the inflatable restraint I/P module screws (3).
  7. Remove the inflatable restraint I/P module (1).
