Installation Procedure

  1. Make sure the module harness is routed correctly. Install the inflatable restraint instrument panel (I/P) module (1).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws (3) that secure the inflatable restraint I/P module.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the module harness to the fuse block bracket.
  5. Connect the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
  6. Install the CPA to the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
  7. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 .
