Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Control Module Does Not Operate
- Connect fused jumper wire between RKE control module connector C1 terminal "H" (Black/White wire) and ground. If all power door locks do not lock and unlock, go to next step. If all power door locks lock and unlock, go to step 6).
- Disconnect RKE control module connectors. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between RKE control module connector C1 terminal "B" (Pink wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, locate and repair open circuit in Pink wire.
- Connect test light between RKE control module connector C2 terminal "A" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Orange wire.
- Connect test light between RKE control module connector C2 terminal "H" (Orange/Black wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Orange wire.
- Connect test light between RKE control module connector C2 terminals "A" (Orange wire) and "F" (Black wire). If test light comes on, go to step 8). If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Black wire.
- Replace transmitter batteries. If transmitter will not operate all remote control functions, go to next step. If transmitter now operates all remote control functions, repair is complete.
- Connect fused jumper wire between RKE control module connector C1 terminal "H" (Black/White wire) and ground. Obtain a known good transmitter. Operate transmitter by pressing a single button once. Disconnect jumper wire. If known good transmitter now operates all remote functions, replace inoperative transmitter. Reprogram RKE control module to replacement transmitter. See PROGRAMMING . If known good transmitter does not operate all remote functions, replace RKE control module. Reprogram replacement RKE control module to transmitter. See PROGRAMMING .
- Connect test light between RKE control module connector C1 terminal "D" (Light Blue wire) and ground. While observing test light, press left power door lock switch to LOCK position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Light Blue wire.
- Connect test light between RKE control module connector C1 terminal "E" (White wire) and ground. While observing test light, press left power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If test light comes on, replace RKE control module. If test light does not light, repair open circuit in White wire.
