Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

ECT Sensor:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Relieve coolant pressure.
2. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
3. Carefully remove sensor.


INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coat threads with sealant.
2. ECT sensor into engine.

Tighten
ECT sensor to 25 Nm (18.5 lb ft).

4. Refill lost coolant
