Code A033, Right Front Wheel Sensor Shorted To Battery Or: Notes

GROUND

Wheel speed sensors produce an AC voltage signal with a frequency proportional to wheel speed and wheel speed sensor position in relation to a toothed ring. This code detects shorts to ground and shorts to battery voltage in wheel speed circuit sensed by EBCM.

1. Identifies whether code is due to short to battery voltage or short to ground.
2. Checks if wheel speed sensor is shorted to ground.
3. Checks if wheel speed sensor circuit is shorted to battery.
4. Ensures wheel speed sensor circuit has good continuity.
5. Checks for short to ground in wheel speed sensor wiring.
6. Checks for short to voltage in wheel speed sensor wiring.
