Memory Seat Module: Installation

  1. Install the memory seat module to the module bracket and install the memory seat module fasteners. See Fig 6. Install the module and bracket assembly to the seat riser, with the harness connectors facing rear of the vehicle. Reconnect harness connectors to the memory seat and heated seat modules.
  2. Align the fastener holes on the seat adjuster with the fastener holes on the seat bracket. Bend the tabs on the seat module bracket as necessary to hold the bracket and module assembly in place on the seat riser. Install the front seat bottom assembly. See Fig 1. Connect the harness connector to the seat switch. Slide the seat switch and bracket assembly onto the seat bottom. Install the seat switch bracket retainers into the seat bottom. Pull the seat cover back down over the switch and align holes in the cover to the switch assembly.
  3. Install the seat cover "J" channels to the seat bottom frame. Install the seat switch trim plate. See Fig 4. Install the knobs to the switches. Align the front seat cushion and frame assembly with the seat adjuster. Connect the front heated seat cushion harness connectors and the lumbar air lines, if equipped. Connect the heated seat module and the memory seat module harness connectors if equipped. See Fig 2.
  4. Engage the rear of the seat cushion with the seat adjuster, push down on the front of the cushion in order to engage the studs in the seat adjuster. See Fig 1. Install the seat cushion fasteners. Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Enable air bag system.
  5. Remove the front seat cushion and frame assembly from the adjuster. Disconnect the harness connectors from the heated seat module and the memory seat module. Bend the tabs on the module and bracket assembly in order to remove the module or modules and bracket assembly from the seat adjuster. Remove the fasteners retaining the memory seat module to the module bracket. Remove the memory seat module from the bracket. See Fig 6.
