Serial Data

The diagnostic serial line is both an input and output to the EBTCM. It is over the serial data line that the EBTCM communicates with the BCM and PCM. This communication enables the EBTCM to display and clear TCS diagnostic trouble codes using on-board diagnostics. Information is also passed between the EBTCM and TECH 1 or TECH II on the diagnostic data line.
