Piston Pin Replacement

  1. Remove circlip from pin bore groove. Push pin from piston and connecting rod. Piston pins and pistons must be replaced as matched set.
  2. Replacement bushings may be used if pin is not worn. DO NOT  machine connecting rods. Ream bushing so pin slides through under thumb pressure.
  3. Assemble connecting rod to piston so rod bearing locating lugs will be on exhaust side of engine and arrow on piston head will face toward front of engine.
