Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
This CKP sensor detects crankshaft speed and is used by the ECM/PCM to determine ignition timing and timing for fuel injection of each cylinder as well as detecting engine misfire.
