Temperature Control Dial

Turning the temperature control dial clockwise increases air temperature by mechanically opening the heater control valve and air mix mode door. See Fig 1 . On LS and GS models, the air mix door is electrically operated. Air passes through the heater core, is warmed, and distributed to selected passenger compartment outlets.
